Hope this meets y’all well.
So, this post is the second part of Names are Powerful…..and I will be writing about Living Faith Church Worldwide a.k.a Winners Chapel. This ministry is known world over for their bold faith. The Ministry’s Genereal Overseer Pastor David Oyedepo is one man that has been quite audacious and unapologetic about his faith, I guess when you have walked with God experientially, You realise that there is nothing impossible with God.
Mark 10: 27 “Jesus looked at them and replied, “With people it is impossible, but not with God—God makes all things possible!”
The Passion Translation
Countless times, I have heard his ( Pastor David Oyedepo) story of many years ago; about how he, though not physically having much, caught a deep revelation in the place of his fellowship with God and proclaimed by faith – ‘I can never be poor!’ People mocked him and thought he had probably lost his mind because what he was saying and what they were seeing weren’t just adding up. If only they knew….. Now, even the blind can perceive his current reality, and those mockers understand that his faith proclamations were not mere boastings of the flesh.
His life reminds me of these Scriptures;
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
Romans 1:17 (King James Version)
“But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.”
Hebrews 11:6 (Ampified Bible)
Till date, members of this Ministry have such faith that is almost annoying to those who lack the revelation behind that kind of faith. It’s been almost 40years and this Ministry is standing strong and will keep doing so by God’s grace.
Like Abraham lived, the faith life is hope against hope. All you see is not all there is. The spiritual (invisible) does control the natural (visible). Just imagine, if this were not so.
The Bible in Romans 4:18 (King James Version) says of Abraham, “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.”
Of a truth, for we Believers, this life eh, it’s by faith. That’s why we are called ‘Believers,’ we believe…in Jesus; and all He says. Therefore, has His Word said it? We believe that He is able to do it.

There might be some people reading this who are wondering how to build their faith. The answer can be found in Romans 10:17 and for better understanding, we will be looking at different bible versions.
“No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ.”

“So then, people must hear the message before they can trust God. And people hear that message when someone tells them about Christ.”

I have noticed that the more I meditate on God’s Word, the more my faith really is built. Also knowing that God isn’t man, changes the whole narrative for me. Because even the best of men are still men and have limitations that living in this human body poses (and when I say men, I don’t mean the male gender, I mean man or woman; as in humans).
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”

Therein lies my confidence.
Guys, God’s Word really is life, when you find it, please hold on to it and never let go.
