Recently, God has shown me what His mercy looks like and it’s been so humbling and overwhelming.

All I thought I could achieve by myself, He made me not; all I thought was by my might, He just made it go like that; just to prove to me that His grace is enough for me; that it’s all I ever needed and will ever need. That no man can achieve anything worthwhile except he be engraced from on high and that He really does give grace to the humble.

So, to whoever might be struggling with guilt and is running from God like Adam did in the garden after he disobeyed God and ate the fruit he was told not to, I just want you to know that – it’s okay to fall. It’s human to make mistakes. It’s understandable to fail. What is totally not okay is to stay fallen.
Run back to God. I assure you that He is waiting and willing to receive you back.
Cry if you must.
Grieve if you can.
But ask God for forgiveness, forgive others and then, the hardest part often times – forgive yourself.
Stop beating yourself up; it won’t change a thing. Rest assured that you have been given a new slate. Take the chance and start again.
Jesus does love you; why else would He take up all your sins and shame and give Himself up on the cross for you??
No matter what you have done, Proverbs 1:23 says to ‘turn at the reproof of the Lord.’ (Paraphrased)

I particularly like 2 Chronicles 7:14;
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

He is waiting for you.
I am so grateful that God doesn’t judge as man does.
Also grateful am I of the fact that He doesn’t deal with us as our transgressions require.
