TRAVEL KIT

No Comment Yet

Recently, I made a short trip and couldnʼt help but laugh at myself. With the size of my luggage, one would be inclined to think I was gonna be gone for longer. Guys, I aim to carry everything that would make me comfortable and feel at home. I just like having my own stuff around, I guess I am used to it. It amazes me how people travel without some bare essentials; itʼs even more understandable if one forgets, at least they can always buy another at their destination, what I donʼt understand is when people travel, purposely leaving behind some essentials hoping to either wing it when they get to their destination or borrow from their host (when necessary). That can be very inconveniencing and so I would like to share some of my own travel essentials; just to give an idea. I must at this point issue a disclaimer; my own list is definitely not exhaustive; for most,it might seem a tad extravagant, agreed. Just remember, itʼs simply a guide. So, here goes…

  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  • Sponge
  • Bathing soap
  • Washing soap
  • Tissue roll (at least aply)
  • Slippers
  • Towel
  • Undergarments
  • Wrapper
  • Stockings
  • Cream
  • Sprays/Perfume
  • Powder bag
  • Anointing oil
  • Bible/Devotionals/Writing pad
  • Clothes/Bag/Jewelry/Shoes
  • Cash
  • Credit card
  • Phone chargers
  • Extension (optional)
  • Hangers (optional)
  • Bedsheet (optional)

To those who need to shave, you might need to take along your shaving kit, or clipper.I only am just learning to share a tube of toothpaste. I donʼt know how to share a tablet of bathing soap with anyone. Towel, sponge, and other stuff that comes in direct contact with the body is a no-no for me.People who feel comfortable using other peopleʼs towels or wrappers to wipe down their bodies after taking a bath are still a mystery to me. Personally, I donʼt feel comfy wiping my body with a wrapper; wrappers are made for wrapping or covering the body, right? #winks#I kid you not, even if itʼs just for a night or two, I ensure to take along at least 90 percent of the above. That way, I try to simulate the home environment. So, the next time you think of traveling especially if you are gonna be staying with a host, I understand that you might wanna spare yourself the stress of carrying excess luggage but remember the possible inconvenience the alternative might pose to your host. They might not complain verbally, but ainʼt no one looking for such stress. As a host though, I try to have some of these essentials for my guests just in case they donʼt have theirs.I believe weʼve learnt a thing or two. Could we also share in the commentsʼ section below some essentials we canʼt travel without no matter how long or short the trip?

If you guys are looking for who to hold mostly responsible, itʼs my mum o. I guess she really took this Scripture to heart in training us;

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6, KJV)

If at the end of the day all you have is God, then you have more than enough.
