STAYING EVEN WHEN IT HURTS

What my Dad said really got me thinking of marriages in this generation. Where any small kpakam, you hear takaam!

People don’t respect Covenants anymore. They go in and out of marriage like it’s a game.
When two people who truly understand what ‘good or bad’ means enter into marriage, they have a greater chance of getting to the ‘till death do us part.’
You can’t be selfish and expect to enjoy your marriage….
You can’t not know how to compromise and expect to have a glorious marriage….
You can’t not truly love and expect fulfillment in marriage….
You can’t have trust issues and expect to grow a happy home….How?

Personally, if I don’t trust you, I can’t even be close friends with you, forget it. It’s that important!
Marriage is like a box , you take out what you put in. You can’t put in nothing and expect everything in return! #word# You harvest what you plant; it’s that simple. The proof of our love is our decision to ‘stay put’ when every other thing or person is flying out of place. You can’t choose the good and leave the bad/ugly; for who? You gotta be willing to have the complete package. Now, when both partners understand this, marriage is good. When only one understands this, s/he is the one that becomes worn-out & frustrated and marriage becomes ugly, but when both partners have no understanding whatsoever concerning this, the marriage becomes bad, a disaster waiting to happen; literally.

If you are not determined to put up a fight for the one you claim to love, then you have no business being with them. Kindly leave.
My Parents have been through a lot in their marriage; a whole lot, much more than most couples but they are still very much together and by God’s grace, will remain so. Some couples of nowadays nko????????????????
I rest my case.
GOD, HELP US TO BE SOLD OUT TO YOUR KIND OF LOVE.

Note; The easy way out isn’t always the right way and the right way out isn’t always the easy way. Until you learn what commitment means, DO NOT COMMIT; it isn’t child’s play.

P.S; On a lighter note, I have three cute jerseys. One for Etihad (sky blue in color), the other for Old Trafford Stars (baby pink in color) and the other for madridistas (navy blue in color); the first, a gift from my younger brother and the others, courtesy of my elder brother. Isn’t that lovely??  Now, I just have to figure out a way to talk Dad into getting me a Gunners’ cutie too. ️

If at the end of the day all you have is God, then you have more than enough.
